Attend Region K Meetings
The Region K planning group typically meets quarterly. Meeting agendas are posted online and with the Secretary of State’s office at least seven days prior to the meeting in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. The meetings are open to the public. Learn more about the next meeting.

About Region K
The Lower Colorado River Water Planning Group (Region K) is one of 16 regional water planning groups. The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) established the groups in 1997 to develop and periodically revise a comprehensive water plan for Texas through 2070. TWDB sponsors development of the Region K water plans. The Lower Colorado River Authority is the administrative agent for Region K.
State Water Plan
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) adopted the 2026 State Water Plan on January 22, 2026, which outlines water needs for Texas over the next 50 years.
